The Richard S. Beebe/CAPCE EMS Educators Memorial Symposium Instructor Course 1 2017 Scholarship.

The Commission on Accreditation For Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) in collaboration with the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) announce an annual scholarship for NAEMSE’s Level One Instructor Course at the NAEMSE Symposium in memory of Rich Beebe, past NAEMSE Board of Director.

Rich Beebe was a nationally known author, renowned EMS educator and an icon in New York State EMS.  Rich was a member of the State EMS Education and Training Committee and Board Member of NAEMSE as well as NAEMSE’s appointed Liaison to the CAPCE Board of Directors. He was well known for his vibrant persona, teaching style, knowledge and professionalism.  His efforts on behalf of NAEMSE and CAPCE were of great benefit to EMS providers across the nation.

It is with great pleasure that CAPCE and NAEMSE announce an annual scholarship fund designed for new EMS Educators.  The fund is established to pay the tuition/course fee for five EMS providers to take the NAEMSE Level One Instructor Course annually at the NAEMSE Symposium.

Juan March, MD, FACEP, Chair of CAPCE added “CAPCE is honored to provide the funding for this scholarship.  We hope that by providing funding for this program, we honor Rich’s legacy in a way that would make him and his family proud.”

Scholarship applications will be accepted starting on May 8, 2017 and will remain open until closing on July 3, 2017.  People who are interested in applying should visit the NAEMSE website at www.naemse.org, about us tab, then scholarships for eligibility requirements and instructions.

Applications are now being accepted through July 3, 2017.
